Little White Lies

Little white lies have often become acceptable in peoples everyday lives. Whether it be an untruthful compliment, or an over exaggeration of a story. There is a huge difference between a big lie and a little white lie, because usually little white lies are harmless. In the YouTube video “crazy bride wig out”, the video is harmless and is never once stated that it actually happened. The video is more or less posted for entertainment, as most you tube videos are.
However, James Frey, stated that the book was truthful, which lead the readers to believe a lie. This was a big lie because, many people bought his book and believed his story to be truthful, and were let down when they found out otherwise. Little white lies usually don’t do people any good, and it is usually best to stick to the truth.

  1. I have some real good facts and theories about lies and the truths. I will present them here.
There are many ways a lie can be told; but a truth can only be told in one way.
A truth will always be the truth, but a lie can be anything. No matter how hard someone tries to hide a truth, he will not be successful.

If a lie is told once, there will be need for more lies to hide the lied. This is just like a growing tree. You plant a tree of lies (you lie about something), it will grow like a tree of lies (you'll have to lie for the rest of your life to hide your first lie and then 2nd and 3rd and so on).

And we have a saying " Liers dont have good memories" I think this was the case with James Frey. When he did not have any answers for some questions, he would lie but when was asked another question from his responses, he had to lie again to cover up for his previous lie.

However, there are situations when someone has to lie to save a truth. If a lie can save a big truth, then it is a very smart thing to lie. I can't recall a relating example, but I have seen such situations though before; either real life, or movies.
The big controversy about James Frey's Book "million little pieces" had crawled all around the globe, for his big 'lil white lies'.
I kinda support him because, he kinda entertained everyone with his lies, but i kinda disagree with him too because he 'lied' the whole time. The reason I disagree with him is because, people cannot learn a lesson from his 'fake' experiences discussed in his book; which is obvious, if it is a lie, there's no lesson in it to be learnt from. Just like a company producing a product. The product is a truth, and the lies are the by-products, which are no use of. People will not use the by-products. So it is the same kinda thing with James Frey, whatever he wrote and lied about, are the by-products of his completed book/novel which are kinda no use of. But there were some factual information. Since people liked his book alot for what he had go through 'literally', that is why it was approved as non-fiction.

After all, I think that lie-ing and telling the truth depends on the situation, person and the forecasted consequences of an action. So to lie or tell the truth really need to be taken a great deal of look at before performing.
